Marketing Communications Manager
About Ginetta
Ginetta is the British Motorsport Company. From its state-of-the-art factory near Leeds, the company operates a broad base of businesses that enable racing enthusiasts at all levels to realise their potential. Ginetta designs and builds multiple race car models and operates six owned motorsport championships as well as competing at the top level of racing at Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship.
The company’s businesses support these ambitions with dedicated track day operations, a simulator & driver development operation and its own test track. The company’s 60 year history also spans specialist road cars, a tradition rekindled by the launch of the Ginetta Akula supercar at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
Ginetta is part of the privately-held LNT Group, a rapidly expanding Yorkshire based group of companies. Under the guidance of Chairman and founder Lawrence Tomlinson it consists of five core businesses across industry sectors including: Healthcare, Construction, Chemicals, Automotive and Software.
About the Role
Ginetta is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager responsible for unifying the brand expression across the company’s multiple operating divisions and cementing the company’s reputation as the go-to provider of motorsport capability.
This is a new role that reflects Ginetta’s growing momentum and a need to clearly communicate the company’s broad range of capability across a variety of trade and consumer market segments.
Your mission in the next few years is to unequivocally establish Ginetta as the pre-eminent British motorsport company and to enable the company to claim greater share of market though a better communicated value proposition
Who Are You?
A marketing communications professional with at least five years of commercial experience in a marketing role, ideally with both B2B and B2C competency. You will have a wide variety of support across the organisation and will work hand-in-hand with the commercial and events teams, but you will be self-starter who is happy to take the initiative and show a strong capability to prioritise activity that delivers best commercial results. You will report directly to the LNT Group CEO.
A background in automotive and/or motorsport would be an advantage, but we’ll prioritise capability over sector knowledge. We’d expect you to be degree-educated and any vocational qualifications from CIM or similar professional bodies will certainly assist.
What You’ll Be Doing
Owning the Ginetta brand and its sub-brands to ensure a consistency of identity across all touchpoints, from point of presence to digital, from race car liveries to shows, exhibitions and 2D collateral
Working with Ginetta senior management and the company’s retained agency to develop a strategic vision of the company’s overall marketing strategy
Stratifying customer cohorts (enterprise and consumer) and develop appropriate marketing tactics to engage these prospects
Building a marketing year plan identifying key waypoints and operational deliverables to support major seasonal activities
Developing and deploy appropriate ROI measures to report on the effectiveness of outbound marketing
Working with sales and retained agencies to develop content strategies to support CRM
Acting as a fulcrum between the company’s business, sales and operations and retained agencies to ensure operational effectiveness
