CNC Machinist

Ginetta

Ginetta has been building British road and race cars since 1958 - but since its purchase by LNT Group in 2005, the company has grown to become one of the most significant players on the global motorsport scene. With racing pedigree throughout the business; Lawrence/Team LNT and Ginetta have raced at Le Mans with Lawrence himself winning the GT2 class at Le Mans 2006 in a Panoz Esperante.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing team in Garforth. The successful applicant will be responsible for the running of our 3/4 and 5 Axis Machining Centres.

Hours: Rotating shifts 6-2 Monday-Friday 2-12 Monday-Thursday

We are looking for someone with experience machining intricate components and with a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for manufacturing one offs and batch components for Ginetta Cars.

Previous experience using Haas and DMG machines would be advantageous but not essential.

Recent CNC turning experience using Doosan lathes with Fanuc control would be advantageous.

Offline programming experience would be advantageous but not essential. Training would be available for the right candidate.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Engine Builder.

The successful applicant will be a key asset to our growing team in Garforth, assisting in the three main engine platforms. The successful applicant will provide attention to detail in a variety of disciplines required to take an engine from component level to production line and be assembly ready.

Therefore, this role is ideally suited to an individual with a keen eye for detail, cleanliness and is willing to follow an established process within a team.

The successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Work on production and prototype engines
  • Follow established safety procedures.

  • Maintain a good level of cleanliness within the department.

Essential criteria for the role:

  • The successful applicant will need to have a good understanding and interest in engineering principals.
  • Evidence of previous engine building is essential.
  • Ability to understand and use measuring and inspection equipment, bore micrometers, dial gauges etc.
  • An in-depth level of understanding of an internal combustion engine architecture, motion and function is essential.
  • Computer and common software awareness including folders & filing, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Some understanding of Engine management systems.
  • Diligent with a high level of attention to detail
  • Organised and methodical
  • Drive for continuous self-improvement
  • Able to work on own and as part of a team

GCSE or equivalent in a minimum of 5 subjects at a grade C or above. Further education would be desirable as would a keen interest in a motorsport career.

  • TIG welder/fabricator to work in the Fabrication Department

  • TIG weld mild and stainless steel

Payroll Administrator

We are recruiting for an efficient Payroll Administrator to be responsible for all payroll processes from start to finish, we require the candidate to have strong numeracy skills be able to multitask effectively and be able to work on their own initiative as well as working as part of a small team. You should also be able to manage all aspects of Payroll in a timely and accurate manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inputting and processing data for the 4-weekly payroll for approx. 1200 staff salaried & hourly employees
  • Maintaining emails and post on a daily basis
  • Entering and checking all payroll information, such as new starters, leavers, employee changes, sickness & Maternity etc in to the company payroll systems (Sage) in line with our current processes
  • Collating information, manual calculations and producing 4 weekly payroll reports
  • Downloading and entering data from HMRC into the Payroll system (Tax Codes, Student Loans etc)
  • Calculating and making 3rd party payments (AOE, CSA Payments, Childcare Vouchers etc)
  • Provide assistance, support and advice to all employees & care homes, regional managers and directors on all payroll related information
  • Maintaining the accuracy of payroll data across all systems, Sage Payroll, Coolcare, Peoples Pension etc
  • Be able to run a payroll from start to finish
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager with any adhoc requirements and working closely with HR and other departments in the continual development and improvement of processes and relationships
  • To ensure that employee pension records are accurate and that their contributions are paid over to the Peoples Pension by the due date
  • Ensuring own work fully complies with company Financial Policies & Procedures

Essential criteria for this role will be:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSE`s at grade `C` or above to include English and Maths
  • Payroll Technician Certificate or above
  • Demonstrate a minimum of two years` experience of payroll administration and/or related finance tasks which gained familiarity with computerised payroll software
  • Demonstrate experience in responding to customer enquiries in a timely manner
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office to include word and excel spreadsheets
  • Be able to run a payroll from start to finish.

The successful candidate will have experience in processing high volume 4-weekly payrolls and have good IT skills including the use of Microsoft Excel and Word and Payroll software programmes. Attention to details is a priority as well as good planning and organisational skills.

We are looking to recruit GRP laminators (experienced & non-experienced) to join our growing composites team. Although predominantly team based, you must also have the ability to work on your own with the flexibility to meet deadlines.

Although a good GRP background is preferred it is not essential, provided candidates have a good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

As a Ginetta GRP laminator, you will be producing the bodywork for a large number of production road and race cars, supporting the manufacturing plant.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning/waxing/prepping moulds for lay-up
  • Application of various release agents/material identification
  • Gel coat application/laminating skills/hand tool dexterity
  • Trimming/sanding & polishing of parts after release
  • General housekeeping duties- changing barrels/filling recycling bins/unpacking goods-in deliveries
  • Wrapping/protecting out bound deliveries
  • Excellent team spirit and work ethic
  • Willingness to develop and learn
  • Engineering understanding

Salary will be dependent upon previous laminating experience, however we are open to Junior position with no experience and we offer career progression opportunities in both GRP and Carbon Fibre.
