With racing pedigree throughout the business; Lawrence/Team LNT and Ginetta have raced at LMP1 level in Le Mans, with Lawrence himself winning the GT2 class at Le Mans 2006 in a Panoz Esperante.

Job profile

We are looking to recruit GRP laminators (experienced & non-experienced) to join our growing composites team. Although predominantly team based, you must also have the ability to work on your own with the flexibility to meet deadlines.

Although a good GRP background is preferred it is not essential, provided candidates have a good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

As a Ginetta GRP laminator, you will be producing the bodywork for a large number of production road and race cars, supporting the manufacturing plant.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning/waxing/prepping moulds for lay-up
  • Application of various release agents/material identification
  • Gel coat application/laminating skills/hand tool dexterity
  • Trimming/sanding & polishing of parts after release
  • General housekeeping duties- changing barrels/filling recycling bins/unpacking goods-in deliveries
  • Wrapping/protecting out bound deliveries
  • Excellent team spirit and work ethic
  • Willingness to develop and learn
  • Engineering understanding

Salary will be dependent upon pervious laminating experience & offer career progression opportunities in both GRP and Carbon Fibre.

You will be accountable for:


. Contributing to the execution of the strategic visions related to the employment brands, talent acquisition tools, processes, and systems in addition to driving a positive candidate experience.
. Delivering all aspects of the recruitment service from briefing, advertising, sourcing, shortlisting screening, interviewing, selecting, and offering to candidates within agreed timeframes.
. Working with third parties on candidate generation (e.g., colleges/universities/trainee programmes)

. Attending careers fares to attract talent and brand awareness.

. Using own networks and talent pools to proactively headhunt, as well as using all available methods to source candidates, including social media, LinkedIn, and Job Boards.
. Developing strong relationships with hiring managers across the businesses, understanding their current and ongoing recruitment requirements.
. Supporting managers with the creation of quality job descriptions.

. Manage and developing strong relationships with external agencies for the recruitment and management of agency workers across the businesses.
. Managing risk through ensuring policies and practices are adhered to and compliant with employment law and regulations, working closely with others to implement changes to practices as needed to meet regulatory and legal requirements.
. Creating a wide range of ad hoc, weekly and monthly reports, statistics and trends analysis related to the recruitment.
. Ensuring the recruitment data is collected, centralised and maintained with high quality and accuracy. Data manipulation and reporting.
. Maintaining accurate candidate tracking data.
. Focusing on delivering an exceptional candidate experience to every applicant at each stage of the process.
. Identifying and evaluating trends on recruiting, including local conditions, economic conditions, and competitors to develop innovative strategic plans to respond quickly to these trends. Identifying trends from market research and candidate feedback.

We are looking to recruit a bodywork assembly engineer to join our growing bodywork department.

As a bodywork assembly engineer, you will be producing a number of component assemblies to support the manufacture and maintenance of number of road and race cars. Bodywork, headlights, door mechanisms all need to be assembled to the highest possible standards.

A background in manufacturing/assembly is preferred but not essential, and any experience/competencies within the automotive industry would be beneficial. Having a genuine interest in Motorsport is also recommended. Under the mentorship and experienced guidance of our senior staff, this is the perfect opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in a forward thinking, fast paced, multi-faceted automotive manufacturer.

Principal accountabilities:

  • M.I.G welder/fabricator to work in the Fabrication Department
  • To assist the fabrication team with the build schedule of fabricated components
  • To manufacture components using technical drawings
  • M.I.G weld mild steel
  • Sub-assembly of fabricated components including use of jigs
  • Basic T.I.G welding ability is beneficial but not essential

Want2race are a leading on track experience company offering a range of services for drivers and racers including track days, rookie race series, driver training, corporate events and experience days. Part of the LNT Group of companies, W2R are the front-end arm of Ginetta – responsible for operating all Ginetta track days, test days and both customer and internal service work.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have a professional, forward thinking and positive approach to managing all aspects of the W2R track support and workshop activities. A clear communicator and can-do attitude with focus on quality of work carried out and excellence in customer service.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Professional presentation of track & race cars both mechanically & aesthetically at events
  • Support customers at track events including track days, testing and race weekends.
  • Carry out preparation of race vehicles to a high standard in the workshop
  • Maintain race vehicles and track day customer vehicles to high standard
  • Professional appearance of team workshop and trucks at all times

Key Skills:

  • Experienced mechanic including service, repairs, rebuilds and chassis dynamics (minimum 2 years mechanic experience).
  • Great communicator and customer service.
  • Hands on approach and good work ethic.
  • Presentable with attention to detail who takes pride in their work.
  • Team player with a passion for motorsport.
  • HGV Licence

Additional Info:

  • Based predominantly at Blyton Park Circuit Lincolnshire, the candidate may also be required to work from Ginetta HQ in Garforth, Leeds.
  • Weekend work as required to look after W2R’s rookie race series drivers. Fixed rate overtime paid.
  • Event work and travel essential as part of the role with valid passport required for European events and travel.
  • B+C or Class 1 or 2 driving licence advantage but not essential. Driver training provided for candidates looking to obtain their HGV licence.
  • 1 month induction period at Ginetta HQ Leeds with full training given.
