Junior Engine Builder

Ginetta

With racing pedigree throughout the business; Lawrence/Team LNT and Ginetta have raced at Le Mans with Lawrence himself winning the GT2 class at Le Mans 2006 in a Panoz Esperante.

We are currently looking to recruit an Engine Shop Technician who will be a key asset to our growing in Garforth, assisting in the three main engine platforms. The successful applicant will provide attention to detail in a variety of disciplines required to take an engine from component level to production line and be assembly ready.

Therefore, this role is ideally suited to an individual who has a keen eye for detail, cleanliness and is willing to follow an established process within a team.

The successful applicant will have a good understanding and interest in engineering. Evidence of practical skills of engine building are not essential but experience of hands on work is desirable.

A good level of understanding of an internal combustion engine architecture and how one works is essential.

Computer and common software awareness including folders & filing, Excel, Outlook and Word.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established build processes.
  • Keep to an established level of component cleanliness.
  • Maintain a good level of cleanliness within the department.
  • Communicate and resolve quality issues as they arise.
  • Monitor and plan ahead for production schedule.

LNT Construction is the leading purpose built residential care home developer in the UK. We offer a unique service to our clients from build to operation; we support our clients in their care home venture.

We are looking to recruit a Labourer to join our team on initially a 9month temporary basis with a possibility to extend.

Within the role of labourer you will be completing work involving the removal and replacement of fiberglass/rockwool in roof spaces alongside some other provisional enabling/fire stopping works.

The successful applicant will be hard working, reliable and punctual with good clear communication skills and be able to work alone on your own initiative or as part of a team.

The working week will be 40 hours Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am and 4pm, but a level of flexibility is required and these are subject to change without notice. 

The role requires the applicant to work across various locations as we are current across 27 sites mostly in the midlands but some as far North as Newcastle and as far south as Cambridge. Therefore, extensive travel will be required including some overnight stays.

The successful applicant must hold and will not be considered without;

  • A full clean UK driving license
  • Valid in date CSCS card

Development Team Technician

We are currently looking to recruit a Development Team Technician to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of factory fleet vehicles and preparations for test and demonstration events.

 

As an important key member of the Test and Development team, you will be responsible for the preparation and upkeep of factory fleet cars, along with servicing and rebuilds of customer vehicles in the workshop and attendance of customer tests and Ginetta events.

Key Responsibilities

·Cleaning and checking of road and race vehicles

·Servicing of factory fleet and customer vehicles

·Building up of sub-assemblies

·Loading and checking of equipment for race/test events

·Maintain stock levels of consumables for test development team

·Maintain a tidy and safe working environment

·Assisting customers at test and race events

·Maintaining professional and smart appearance of all fleet vehicles

·Completing and maintaining vehicle paperwork records

Experience in the automotive sector would be advantageous and motorsport experience preferred.

This position would suit a capable Motorsport or Engineering graduate who is dynamic and practically minded. You will be used to mechanical systems and being hands on.

This position will provide someone with a great opportunity to progress and grow within a small core team delivering high standards of customer service.

We are looking for a laminator to join our carbon team.

Handle composite materials and follow established safety procedures.

Hand laminate composite components to specifications provided by project engineers.

Prepare components for oven and autoclave processing utilising vacuum bagging practices. 

Preparing tooling patterns and moulds using chemical sealers and release.

Consult and resolve quality issues as they arise, in consultation with project engineers.

Basic requirement’s

Laminating experience preferably in pre-preg but not essential.

Ideally motorsport background but other sectors considered.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawin

  • Proficient in writing tests at various levels e.g. unit, integration, functional.
  • Advocate of SOLID principles

Desirable:

  • Experience with Java programming language and Spring framework
  • Practices TDD / BDD
