We are currently looking to recruit an Engine Department Purchasing Administrator who will be a key asset to the department, responsible for purchasing and controlling stock. The successful applicant will provide attention to detail and be able to predict, control and maintain stock levels for the engine department.

 

Experience;

Experience in purchasing is essential with good I.T. skills including a good understanding of MS Excel. Experience using Sage software would be advantageous although not essential.

Must be familiar with supply chain procedures and have a background of controlling and monitoring high turn-over stock.

Requirements

  • At least 1 years’ experience within a purchasing or very similar role

The Role

The ideal candidate will be thorough, well organised and take pride in their work and appearance. You will work closely with the wider team to analyse customer and competitor care homes and demographics in a specific area. Your role will include comprehensive desktop and phone research alongside visiting existing care homes to provide information on the current Care Home provision in various locations. Such research will focus on the visual presentation of existing Care Homes, quality of staff, provision of facilities and services they provide, alongside fee levels and vacancies.

The role will also provide the wider team and external parties with comprehensive reports and presentations to demonstrate their findings.

The ideal person will have excellent attention to detail and good observation skills. You will need to be comfortable in a variety of new environments and have strong administration skills to be able to be accurate and descriptive when writing up reports to then present to the team.

Job requirements

You will be required to travel to different locations across the UK in your own vehicle and will be paid mileage. Weekly trips to head office in Leeds (LS25) will also be required.

Based in Garforth, Leeds, you will already be an experienced Town Planner with a background in either a private or public sector setting, working for a consultancy, local authority, developer or land promoter.

About the role:

The position will involve managing planning project work in-house, as part of the team. This will involve initial site appraisals and evaluation; preparation of written reports and statements and submission of all planning application documentation. It will also involve meeting and negotiating with Planning Officer’s and any/all parties involved in the application processes and being involved in Planning Committee and Appeal situations, as required.

As a result, you will need to be at a stage in your career where you are ready to take ownership of projects – 18 months professional planning experience is therefore the minimum, and ideally you will have more. Whatever your current skill set, you will be offered comprehensive training and support to develop skills and experience in areas where you have not yet had much exposure.
